Monday 5th . My Siter’s Keeper
Based on the Jodi Picoult novel, My Sister's Keeper is a
drama following Sara (Cameron Diaz) and Brian (Jason
Patric) whose daughter, Kate, is diagnosed with
leukaemia at the age of two. The only hope to keep Kate
alive is to conceive another child, specifically
intended to save her life. Their second daughter, Anna
(Abigail Breslin), is genetically conceived as a bone
marrow match for Kate.

The audacious visual stylist Baz Luhrmann (Moulin Rouge,
Romeo and Juliet) has made an epic historical romance
about his native country. The film is set in northern
Australia prior to World War II and centers on an
English aristocrat (Nicole Kidman) who inherits a
massive cattle station. When Aussie cattle barons plot
to take her land, she reluctantly joins forces with a
rough-hewn stock-man (Hugh Jackman) to drive 2,000 head
of cattle across hundreds of miles of the country's most
unforgiving land, only to still face the bombing of
Darwin, by the Japanese forces that had attacked Pearl
Harbor months earlier. The film also deals with the Lost
Generation.

Monday 26th Crazy Heart
Awesome, five-time Oscar nominee Jeff Bridges (including
one for this role at the 2010 Academy Awards) stars as
hard drinkin', country singin' anti-hero, Bad Blake, in
Scott Cooper's directorial debut.
Bad Blake is a broken down country music singer who’s
had too many marriages, too many years on the road and
one too many drinks. And yet, Bad can’t help but reach
for salvation with the help of Jean (Maggie Gyllenhaal),
a journalist who discovers the real man behind the
musician.
