HOW DO I JOIN THE SILVERDALE RSA ?
Firstly
you must be a New Zealand Citizen or Permanent Resident
of New Zealand or a Citizen of another Commonwealth
Country. Permanent residency means that the person
holds the relevant documentation in terms of New Zealand
Immigration Policy.
A work permit is not sufficient.
There are FOUR categories of Silverdale RSA membership
'RETURNED' servicemen and women who have served in any
war or in a peacekeeping or peacemaking deployment as
defined by RNZRSA.
'SERVICE' members are either retired or serving
members of the Armed forces who do not qualify for
"returned" membership. They include those who have
served under CMT, the Territorial Forces, Cadet Force
Officers and sworn members of the New Zealand Police.
If you qualify under the above two categories all you
need to do is bring documentary evidence of your service
into our Office. Office hours are Monday to Friday 11 am
to 5 pm.
'ASSOCIATE' Any person of good repute seeking
admission as an "Associate" member shall be nominated
and seconded for membership by two financial members of
this RSA. A person so nominated shall only be elected
to membership provided he has paid the prescribed
entrance fee and provided further that his election
takes place by ballot of the Executive committee after
his name and photo have been placed on the notice board
for 14 days and objections have been duly called for.

Returned or Serviceman may apply for membership to our
Women's Section. Any ladies applying shall be nominated
and seconded for membership by two financial members of
our Women' s Section. A person so nominated shall only
be elected to membership provided she has paid the
prescribed entrance fee and provided further that
her election takes place by ballot of the Women's
Section Committee.

also belong to the Women's Section at no charge.
Associate Women members can also pay a little extra to
belong to the Women's Section as well .
